Why is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide so good at fighting acne?

It kills acne causing bacteria without them becoming resistant which means it doesn’t lose effectiveness over time.
Studies show it’s just as effective as 5% or 10% benzoyl peroxide but less irritating.
Benzoyl peroxide dissolves well in oil, which means it can penetrate deep into pores and pimples.
It also acts as an exfoliant to open pores and reduce inflammation.
